For some reason he said he might have to take the manifold off and have it sent out for repair. WHAT THE HECK DOES FIXING A MUFFLER HAVE TO DO WITH THE MANIFOLD?! Any “mechanic” with half a brain could figure out that a muffler has zero to do with the manifold!! When she said the bolts that connect the muffler to the exhaust pipe are rusted in half, any mechanic should know right then and there what the issue is. Not this so called mechanic. “I’m gonna have to to take your manifold off and send it out, it’s hard telling how long it could be.”
The a**hole she spoke with was unbelievable rude with her. All she wanted to know was how much it would be and how long it would take to fix. She told him that I(her fiancé) could do it but I don’t have to tools and that it should be a fairly simple fix(which it is). This douche bag blew up and said “well your fiancé isn’t the one working on it is he?” among other very nonprofessional comments.
My fiancé called this place to see if they could fix the muffler on her car. The flange bolts that connect the muffler to the exhaust pipe are completely rusted in half causing an exhaust leak. This is exactly what I told her to tell them when she called. She read it word for word from a text I sent her. Any “mechanic” or anyone who’s been around cars knows exactly what this is. It’s a common problem in a lot of vehicles.
Wow! What a great experience we had with Autobahn Auto Werks. We were traveling back to Illinois, from our vacation, when our alternator went out . . . on a Sunday. We had stopped at a couple of Auto Zone’s, where they mentioned they wouldn’t be able to get an alternator in until Tuesday. . .we had also called several businesses and no one was open. While it wasn’t really an option to wait this long, since we had to go back to work Tuesday morning, we were in a bind and headed to get a hotel, hoping to solve the problem Monday. For some reason, I decided to google Auto Service one more time when Autobahn showed up. I have never been so glad for that gut feeling! When I called Autobahn, not only did they answer, they helped, and not just a little. He went above and beyond after hearing our story and knowing we were still another 7.5 hours away from home. He took the time to call all over the state to find and alternator and then . . . he drove 100 miles to get it and 100 miles back. Wait, it gets better! He could have said he’d install it first thing Monday morning, but he didn’t. . .as soon as he got back, he stayed late and finished at about 8:00 so that we could continue our drive and get home in time to rest and be at work on Tuesday. He did all this and didn’t even try to overcharge us for working on a Sunday . . . it warms my heart to know there are still such giving and kind people in this world. What fantastic service! I highly recommend Autobahn if you are in this area and need service work on your car. Thank you for taking such good care of us! It is good to know that there are still the small businesses out there that will go the extra mile to help someone in need. This is something you don’t get from the “chain” businesses.

Fantastic experience! I had a broken headlight, and called to see if they could fix it. I took my car in that day, and less than an hour later my light was fixed and at a great price! Very happy and will gladly come back for any future repairs.
First oil change at this establishment was a little over one year ago, was charged 119.00 dollars for oil change and tire rotation (pricey but overlooked due to convenience of not driving to columbus). Took my vehicle back this past weekend and was charged 184.00 for the same service. Explanation given was that I was undercharged the first time. Needless to say from now on I will make the 1 and 20 minute trek to columbus and pay MUCH less!!
I was just going to have her bring it in to have it looked at so this moron could see for himself, but since he mentioned taking the manifold off, it’s hard telling what kind of high priced scam job he would try on an innocent woman.
