I get the run around alot. This is my third time trying this place out. This time its been a ok experience.
I called them to inform them that my husband is incarcerated in the Scioto County Jail and is EXTREMELY depressed. They informed me that all they could do was "call the jail and have someone ask my husband if he is suicidal and if he says yes, THEN they (the jail staff) can put him up front and watch him. Then they will call us and we can evaluate him for being suicidal. But that's all we do." I have this all recorded and I cannot believe that's "ALL THEY CAN DO." IS THIS THEIR WAY OF "HELPING THE COMMUNITY?" Having a Corrections Officer ask if someone is suicidal... Knowing the next step is BEING STRIPPED NAKED and thrown into total lock down, ANYONE WITH A BRAIN, is going to say NO. FOUR MONTHS I have waited for them to see him and this is the response I get AFTER weekly requests for mental help for him over the past four months.
